WELCOME TO THE SCALE MODEL AIRCRAFT GALLERY
|
 The Focke-Wulf Fw190 was Germany’s most lethal
fighter of WWII. The Fw190A-series of aircraft were
some of the finest aircraft of their time. From its
inception into the air war over Europe against Spitfires
of the RAF; to the vast, cold plains of Russia; to the
high altitudes suicidal interception of 4-engined bombers,
the Fw190A-series of aircraft brought fear to the Allied
pilots.
Though probably not the best of the Fw190-series, the
Fw190A-series was by far the beloved of the Fw190 series.
This model is a beautiful replica of the Fw190A-5 "Green 13" flown by top ace Obslt. Walter Oesau who achieved
123 victories, was Kommodore of JG 2 until June 1943.
KIA May 11th as Kommodore of JG 1. Model shows five
bombers on fin, port side, representing victories 101-105,
two of which are on fire.
